About us | How Jannes improved her TOEIC score 1. Jannes’s Background
Jannes studied for the TOEIC exam to take the test for a job after graduating from college. She had a lot of trouble getting ready the first time since she didn’t know where to begin. She bought a book to help her study for the TOEIC test and took it. She was fairly confident in her ability in English, therefore Jannes was really upset when she received the grade. She only scored 540. What did Jannes do to improve her TOEIC score? Let’s see her transform progress to get a high score on the test through the following tips.

2. Make a weekly study schedule
Jannes chose the sections that she should give top priorities to practice first. She also took into account the times of day she was most likely to feel tired and choose easier subjects to study. She suggested spending time for a reasonable number of breaks and calculating the number of hours for TOEIC preparation. Importantly, she wrote down clearly her weekly study schedule and followed it strictly.
3. Read
Reading is the best method of learning new vocabulary because it’s the ability you’ll need most to pass the TOEIC exam. Although looking up phrases in a dictionary and studying them afterwards is an excellent idea for this, you must be careful that doing so doesn’t slow down your reading pace (very important for the TOEIC reading paper). You can increase your reading speed and vocabulary by skimming a whole article, paragraph, or page fast and just underlining or circling the words you are uncertain about. Stop reading after that and look the words up in a dictionary. The most useful terms should also be included in your list of vocabulary words to learn now or in the future.

4. Pick on a vocabulary goal for yourself
Jannes shared her tips to learn vocabulary: “If you study 5 words a day for a year, you will be able to understand more than 1500 new English terms and advance in reading comprehension. Once you’ve set that objective, try to learn twice as much every day to maintain motivation and consistently outperform your objective.”
5. Try some online TOEIC practice
Jannes came across TOEIC Test Pro while browsing the internet and debating which book to purchase. She was happy to discover that it not only provided her with a ton of free TOEIC practice exams, but also assisted her in keeping track of her academic progress and provided feedback on her areas of weakness. The best method to prepare for the TOEIC is to practice your English whenever you have the chance, just like you would for any other test. Keep in mind that practice makes perfect. There are many options accessible, so it will be simple for you to choose the one that best meets your needs for test preparation.
